Broken

Broken and blank as a winter’s sky
That dark night I had wished to die.
Giant the birds I’d pray, in hopes they’d carry me away.
Your hands clenched, swiftly becoming my flesh
Like a drum you sounded me.
I drowned under your tow I can’t remember, I wanted to go.

Quiet, still, cold and stark...I was left broken left of your mark.
